Hans Mahncke @HansMahncke - Sometimes it feels like the whole lockdown thing was designed by the laptop classes so they could enjoy an easy life at home while others handled the real work. It never made sense to “stay home, stay safe” while low-wage service workers had to be out there making and delivering food. The worst part is that after Covid, the laptop classes simply maintained that system for their own convenience. I’d also bet that the loudest champions of “equity” are the ones placing the most home delivery orders.

I've spoken to hundreds of uber eats drivers in NYC and so far every one of them have been illegal immigrants. This particular location is 235 Columbus Ave, but you can see this everywhere throughout the city.
One of the main reasons is because all the food delievery apps require is a social security number which you got automatically when you applied for asylum under the Biden admin. For those that did not get a number, they buy a doordash/ubereats account from those that did get one.
