>>169458EWTN Vatican @EWTNVatican - For the first time in history, the relic of the Most Precious Blood of Christ is leaving the Basilica of Saint Andrew in Mantua to be welcomed in Rome, at the Sanctuary of San Salvatore in Lauro, from November 17 to 25, 2025.
The relic will be at the center of a week of prayer and celebrations — a unique opportunity for contemplation and renewal of faith in the heart of the Eternal City.

- Nov 17, 4:30 PM – Solemn and Pontifical Welcome with Mons. Edoardo Cerrato
- Nov 18–19, 6:00 PM – Celebrations presided over by Mons. Cerrato
- Nov 20, 6:00 PM – Mass with Mons. Andrea Ripa, Secretary of the Apostolic Signatura
- Nov 21, 4:00 PM – Pontifical Mass with Mons. Flavio Pace, followed by a Jubilee pilgrimage toward St. Peter’s
- Nov 22, 6:00 PM – Celebration with Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, Archpriest of St. Mary Major
- Nov 23–24 – Celebrations presided over by Mons. Cerrato
- Nov 25, 6:00 PM – Concluding Pontifical Mass with Cardinal Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod
Tradition holds that Longinus, the centurion who pierced Christ’s side, brought to Mantua in 804 the earth soaked with His blood. Since then, the Sacred Vessels have never left the city.
