The Financial Times reports that Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, recently pardoned by Donald Trump, has been hit with a new U.S. federal lawsuit alleging the crypto exchange facilitated millions of dollars in payments to Hamas since the October 7, 2023 attack.
➤ Families of October 7 victims allege Binance knowingly provided “substantial assistance” to groups including Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, helping them move and conceal funds.
➤ The suit claims more than $50 million in transactions linked to these groups were facilitated on Binance since October 7, 2023, and alleges wallets run by Binance itself sent over $300 million before October 7 and more than $115 million after the attack.
