First of all, the only reason you have a Republican trifecta in DC at the moment is because of one man: Donald J. Trump. Like it or not, he is the leader of the party and sets the agenda. Which is a good thing! Because it turns out that agenda is good, which is why America voted for it.
Second, this statement just reinforces that too many Republicans still would rather be in the minority than actually make an attempt to govern. Sorry to break it to you, but we have a very slim majority. You're not gonna be able to brag about your "grants." Stop being an attention-seeking theater kid and actually try to legislate for once.
Third, the fact that you would look your voters in the eye and tell them you will represent them in Congress and then contemplate resigning as soon as somebody is a little mean to you, is a level of cowardice and betrayal to the people to elected you that I can't even fathom.
Bitching about it anonymously to a reporter just makes it even more pathetic.
