A child’s birthday party. Balloons. Cake. Laughter. Kids hopped up on sugar and parents trying to wrangle them. The safest, happiest kind of chaos you’ll ever see.
And some evil waste of oxygen decided to walk into that joy and open fire.
Stockton California Vice Mayor Jason Lee said his heart is heavy.. mine is too. Because when violence hits kids, it hits different. It shatters something in all of us. An ice cream shop should be memories, not morgues. A birthday party should end with frosting on faces, not families screaming in terror.
