Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization Oral Argument
The Supreme Court heard oral argument in Dobbs v. Jackson, a case on the constitutionality of a Mississippi law that bans most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The case is the latest challenge to the historic 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion throughout the United States. The Court on June 24, 2022, in a 6-3 vote overturned Roe v. Wade. Prior to the ruling, a leaked draft opinion, published by Politico in May, foreshadowed the Court's decision.
