Most of us black folk who have escaped the hood and live in better neighborhoods stay ALL THEE WAY THE HELL OUT of high crime black neighborhoods.
I still have family in Far Rockaway, Queens and we either have to meet at a neutral point, or they have to drive out to me. I stopped going anywhere near their neighborhood, especially if I have my wife and daughter with me.
A very easy solution to fix the problem is to start keeping the thugs, gangstas, and hoodlums in jail. Let the cops do their jobs and then force the DAs and judges to do theirs. Be very, very strict with SNAP, Section 8, and EBT. Force these do-nothings to get up and go to work. Fund afterschool programs, but not until the people in the neighborhoods have earned it.
Until that happens, the fatigue will grow and spread.
