FoiaFan @15poundstogo - I generally don’t speculate as to motives, but in Chis Wray’s slimy disgusting case there are inferences that are essentially compelled. He and Comey were politicized, weaponized hacks. Ergo, if an investigation had any potential impact on a preferred political narrative, it was pushed or dropped for politicized reasons.

Credit where credit is due to Dan Bongino and Kash Patel for this breakthrough. AG Pam Bondi said the evidence was in the FBI files "sitting there gathering dust". Was Chris Wray's FBI just incompetent, engaged in a coverup, or so rancidly political it ignored anything that didn't fit with the anti-Trump J6 libel

.@FBIDDBongino said the arrest of suspected J6 bomber Brian Cole was not prompted by a new tip - but by a combined reevaluation of the case and team effort by the @FBI + U.S. and D.C. law enforcement agencies. Bongino led the investigation that resulted in Cole's arrest, along with the assistant director of the @FBI's Washington Field Office Darren Cox.
"This is what it's like when you work for a President who tells you to go get the bad guys and stop focusing on other extraneous things not related to law enforcement.
"We had a great team. I know it's said a lot in this business, that it was a team effort. [It] becomes cliche. But cliches are useful for a reason, because they matter. And this was a team effort. The director and the attorney general emphasized that it was not a new public tip this came from. This was our internal work at the FBI, and I want to just really express my sincere gratitude to this attorney general and this president for allowing us the latitude."
