At that point she asked me to immediately leave her store or she would call the police because I “cursed” at her. Of course, I left.
Now my daughter is in shambles not having received what she was told, a very hard circumstance for her to process, and distraught that she will never be able to return to her favorite store.
I will always stand up for her. In retrospect, I probably should have just paid for the difference and then resolved it after the fact not in her presence. You live and learn.
But the way we were treated was completely inappropriate in my opinion.
