Today, Treasury imposed sanctions on a network that is fueling the conflict by recruiting former Colombian military personnel to train soldiers—including children—to fight for the Rapid Support Forces, a Sudanese paramilitary group. The Rapid Support Forces have repeatedly targeted civilians, systematically killing men, boys, and infants, and have deliberately raped and assaulted women and girls.
