You can be against the raid, almost every current and former agent was, it was a decision made by Biden, Garland, and Lisa Monaco - not the FBI, and......disagree that the deadly force policy needs/needed to be changed.
The last time an agent changed the use of force policy, The Deputy Director was forced to resign, an agent in the chain of command went to prison, and Vicky Weaver got shot. That's when it was decided to emphasize the use of force policy in every warrant and arrest order, firearms training session, and legal inservice.
Don't like "boiler plate?" change it to SOP or checklist. Your bio says you were in the military - you had plenty SOPs there - because it's serious business. It also says you're an aviator. Do pilots with 10K hours really need to be reminded on the checklist to put down the landing gear? Probably not, but there it is on every checklist.
The disarm the FBI nonsense was Friend, not Saraphin, although he might have jumped on it. It was around the time he called FBI pensions blood money, though he was suing to get back in the FBI and get his weapon and pension back. It's a dumb idea.
I have close friends in the FBI lose their lives in gunfights, so the last thing we needed are unarmed agents. And you FBI animus is showing if you'd exclude the Marshals. How about Secret Service, they are 1811s - disarm them too? Your local police and sheriff don't have the manpower or desire to babysit the FBI on every operation.
