Julie Kelly @julie_kelly2 - Their fury over the “lethal force policy” wasn’t their only misstep after I posted the MAL raid docs (which I knew would drop that day since I, and not any of them including Shipley, knew since they didn’t cover a day of the court proceedings in docs case).
They insisted the Secret Service had even notified well in advance of the raid. That was false. (Shipley at the time laughably claimed the USSS was not law enforcement, something he had to immediately retract.) They mocked Bongino’s assessment that blue-on-blue situation could have happened btw USSS and armed FBI agents.
And they downplayed the disclosure agents arrived without any identifying logo or attire (SOP!) while they conducted the nine hour rampage through the president’s home.
Some reached out to me via text to defend the boilerplate lethal force policy. Ok—so what, I’d ask back. If your argument solely rests on my not including a caveat the lethal force policy is standard at the FBI—I don’t care. That’s not the point.
Bongino swore off anyone who defended any aspect of the raid. Others cut them off as well. Their stupid decision to defend any element of this raid—especially that one—did tremendous damage to them. So they’re still bitter.
They also were mad that my reporting got so much attention. And I did know what I was talking about because I was posting from a defense document PREPARED BY A J6 ATTORNEY NOW AT THE WHITE HOUSE.
