Secretaries Rollins and Kennedy Announce Regenerative Agriculture Program
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced a new $700 million program to incentivize regenerative farming operations, which focus on organic and sustainable methods for food production. The two secretaries were joined by Dr. Mehmet Oz, head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, a farmer using these methods, and a federal administrator to tell reporters about the new federal healthy foods initiative and answer their questions. The announcement came on the heels of an announced $12 billion farm aid package, aimed at stemming the impacts of tariffs and trade disputes with other nations.
