Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump - Video: Matt Gaetz: You really zeroed in on what I wanted to address in this discussion, and that is the failure of the Georgia legal system to allow for a review of these facts until now. It is 2025, Cleta.
Isn't it a failure of the Georgia legal system that we're only learning about this now?
-
Cleta: Well, let me just say this. The chief judge of Fulton County, his name is Chris Brasher.
He has since retired, but he was the chief judge, and it was his responsibility under the state constitution of Georgia to appoint a judge eligible to hear our election contest.
We filed that contest on December the 4th. Would you like to know when he finally appointed a judge?
He appointed a judge on the 4th of January when the certification of the electoral college votes was going to take place two days later, and the new judge has set a trial for two days, three days after the electoral college votes.
So they made it impossible for us to present our evidence.
And since then, there has been, so it's a, yes, it's a complete failure of the Georgia legal system. It is a complete failure of the leadership of the state of Georgia.
Governor Kemp, the lieutenant governor at the time, Jeff Duncan, Brad Raffensperger, the moron secretary of state who now is running for governor.
The attorney general, Chris Carr, who is also running for governor, they were feckless.
They failed to exercise the responsibilities of their office to ensure that every, the only legal votes were counted.
And we documented, and people can look in the public record, a 64-page complaint that shows the statutes that were violated and how many votes have been included in the count that were in violation of state law. And now they say, oh, it's a clear point.
