Houck faced up to 11 years in prison. Thankfully he was acquitted by a jury at trial but the process was punishment in itself and his children will never forget what was done to their father.
Every one of these churchgoers should file police complaints and launch a class action against the city and the funders of these protests. They will need pro bono legal advice, crowdfunding or a generous benefactor.

But honestly — I am not alarmed. I am not shaken. At some point you just have to throw your hands in the air and surrender to God and believe that he’s leading this ship. That moment came for me several years ago. There’s no turning back for me.

That’s not to say that I should not do anything — because I do fight nearly every single day. I’ve been fighting non-stop since 2018. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
