Julie Kelly @julie_kelly2 - In yet another example of what the Trump DOJ is up against, especially in DC, a DC jury deliberating for about 35 minutes before acquitting a homeless man of shining a red laser in the face of a Secret Service agent then Marine One in September.
This is about the same amount of time it took DC juries to quickly convict J6ers on any number of charges including assault/interfering with federal officers. And it follows a pattern of DC juries refusing to bring indictments and refusing to convict criminals as a way of protesting the Trump administration.
As I have said over and over for years--the legal/judicial system in our nation's capital is irrevocably broken and Congress should stop funding it--but GOP won't do it.
