Dear President Trump, it recently came to my attention through correspondence from the LA County Fire Department that the State Fire Hazard Severity Zone map has been updated and my property falls in the very high fire zone. I thought this odd as I live in a 30 year old subdivision in the desert and there is no significant fuel for a major fire nor has this development ever been classified in any fire severity zone in the 18 years I have lived here. The fire severity zone is equivalent to Paradise, CA despite the fact I can see for miles and all there is is low scrub and solar farms. I am less than a 1/4 mile from two fire breaks, the LA Aqueduct and 5 rows of high tension power lines that transmit power to LA and are cleared underneath. I looked into how or when this reclassification occurred and found it was immediately after the Palisades fire and a significant portion of the Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita Valley are affected. As you will notice there was a change in 2025 and it doesn't make any sense as areas with no tracked fire hazard are now at the highest possible level. This is absolutely unacceptable. As a mechanical engineer I look at data every day and know bad data in equals bad data out. There is no plausible explanation for this severity change throughout California except for bad data or fraud. I have lost property value, will spend money for fire compliance modification, have had my property tax "fees" increased and will very likely lose my fire insurance and be forced onto the FAIR plan which I expect was the actual goal. I expect your office will look into this issue and I will be referring this to the DOJ as it very much looks like mass fraud. Any assistance or leverage you may offer the citizens of California would be greatly appreciated by a great number of us, far more than polls indicate voted for you I suspect. I have great respect for what you have done for the people during your time in office and hope you can continue to end the fraud that has been committed at all levels of government against the American people.
