White House Press Pool Reports @WHPressPool - Pool report 7 - Coal event about to begin
Pool and other reporters have entered the East Room for an event in which POTUS is supposed to receive an award as the “Undisputed Champion of Coal.” The award is from the Washington Coal Club, an industry lobbying group.
POTUS is also expected to sign an executive order directing the military to purchase electricity from coal-fired power plants.
The event is expected to be televised and, as such, pool updates will be kept to a minimum.
