Brian Williams @LiturgyGuy -Bishop Martin’s video released. It is ten minutes long and intended to be shown during the homily at all parishes this weekend. The message is a general statement regarding discipleship and seems to possibly set the stage for the upcoming diocesan campaign which (reportedly) will
Brian Williams @LiturgyGuy
In his message, Bishop Martin said that, “Our parish is primarily the place where we encounter the love of God. And yet, too often we come to church looking to be served, rather than to serve. As guests, rather than hosts…
“Imagine a world where the holiness of our family life is what we bring with us to share each week at church, rather than the other way around...”
This stings in Charlotte, where well over 1000 people were told that they would have to leave their parishes, and all that they bring to them, if they wanted to continue worshiping as Catholics had for centuries in the Roman Rite.
Further, Bishop Martin has repeatedly demonstrated through his liturgical vision (preferences and mandates) that certain forms of piety are to be discouraged in parishes. This is another example of words having little meaning when clericalism and ideology pervade.

Brick Suit @Brick_Suit - I'm not saying that they are doing a piss poor job finding Nancy Guthrie's kidnapper, but public sentiment that an arrest will be made in February continues to slide.
Down to 32% and falling.
My odds media will cover story incessantly? 100%.
