The motorcade arrived at the Rocky Mount airport at 3:06 pm.
VP Vance got out of his SUV and took pictures with law enforcement, then stopped to take three questions from the pool under the wing.
Vance said on the school strike in Iran that it was "unclear" exactly what happened and that an investigation was ongoing.
On any potential differences with President Trump over the war. Vance said the national security team was cohesive and not debating war strategy in the US press.
