A Senegalese migrant in Spain who admitted to raping a 14-year-old girl he groomed on Instagram will not go to prison after being handed a suspended sentence, a €7,500 fine, and 60 days of community service.
The attack took place back on Feb. 23, 2020, when the attacker, then 20, lured the schoolgirl to his home in Palma.
He demanded that she undress in front of him, and when she refused, he raped her multiple times.
The public prosecutor had demanded a sentence of nine years in prison. Provided the man doesn't commit another offense in the next three years, he won't serve a day.
