toddstarnes @toddstarnes - A few months ago on my radio show I told President Trump how my hometown had been turned into a war zone by Democrat lawmakers, a George Soros-style DA and soft-on-crime Democrat judges. I asked him to send the National Guard to Memphis.
The president said he was not aware of how bad things had gotten and he promised that he would look into the situation.
A few months later President Trump announced that he was creating the Memphis Safe Task Force and flooded our city with hundreds of federal agents.
Since then, crime stats have cratered and we are no longer the most dangerous city in America. Because of President Trump the people of Memphis are able to go to the grocery store without getting carjacked. Kids are able to go to the park without wearing Kevlar. Citizens are able to live life again.
I think all of us have are just so overwhelmed at how drastically President Trump's decision changed our city. He brought hope back to Memphis. And as a small business owner and a citizen, all I can say is, "Thank you, Mr. President for Making Memphis Great Again. Thank you very much."
