U.S. Southern Command @Southcom - This week, #SOUTHCOM hosted @USNationalGuard adjutant generals and senior leaders representing 21 U.S. states and territories to chart the way forward for the #StatePartnershipProgram (SPP) in Latin America the Caribbean.
There are 24 State Partnerships aligned to 30 nations in the region where dozens of annual military-to-military engagements foster a hemisphere of resilient partners who actively contribute to the security and stability of the Western Hemisphere. Three of those partnerships – Ecuador-Kentucky, Peru-West Virginia, and Panama-Missouri – date back three decades.

U.S. service members are highlighting a diverse set of capabilities, including C-130 Hercules and MQ-9 Reaper aircraft from the Texas Air National Guard, the U.S. Air Force Academy Wings of Blue parachute team and the F-35 Lightning II Demonstration Team, with additional support from a @USNavy P-8 Poseidon.
