Jeanine Pirro announced today that the Justice Dept. would drop its criminal investigation into the Federal Reserve's headquarters renovations and Chair Jerome Powell: "This morning the Inspector General for the Federal Reserve has been asked to scrutinize the building costs overruns – in the billions of dollars – that have been borne by taxpayers...Accordingly, I have directed my office to close our investigation as the IG undertakes this inquiry." Senate Banking Cmte Republican Tillis said Tuesday at Fed Chair nominee Kevin Warsh's confirmation hearing that he couldn't support his confirmation "until this bogus investigation is done."
