U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement @ICEgov - Jose Luis Mata-Flores, of Mexico, was convicted of second-degree murder with a firearm Jan. 21, 1981, in Los Angeles.
He was sentenced to up to life in prison, with a minimum of 15 years.
ICE arrested him upon his release from prison and removed him to his home nation May 4.
