President Trump began speaking at about 11:47 am. He praised Warsh before his official swearing in, saying "nobody is better prepared" and "I want Kevin to be totally independent."
Trump also mentioned other topics.
The president said Iran is "dying to make a deal" and received applause after saying Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
Before Warsh took his oath, Trump told Justice Thomas "we need a really great oath."
Warsh took the oath at 12:09 pm, administered by Justice Thomas. He received a standing ovation after.
Warsh gave remarks and finished speaking at 12:16 pm.
The president left the East Room at 12:17 pm and he did not take questions.
