Trump, on his upcoming meeting with Zelenskyy: "It's too bad it took so long, but I think there's going to be something's going to come out, and the President is also helping us with that, but I think there's something - you know, settled eight wars, and I think we're going to be settling, and I, it doesn't seem likely now, but sometimes when with war I see when it's least likely, that's when it happens. I had a very good talk with President Putin, had a very good talk with, I would say, as a combination, a lot of times I do well with Putin, and Zelensky would be a problem, or vice versa, Zelensky would be great, and great, and Putin would be, they both want to get it settled now."
Trump, in response to a question in Turkish that was not translated, but ostensibly on CAATSA sanctions: "We're going to be taking the sanctions off. Okay, I don't want him to waste his time answering that question, because we're working very closely with Marco Rubio, very famous man, great Secretary of State, and with Scott Besant, and with Pete, and everybody else. We're going to be taking the sanctions off. It's time to do that."
Trump, on Meloni: "I think she's a nice person," but says Italy made a mistake in Iran and it "soured" his relationship with her.
Trump, on Greenland and whether he's satisfied with the way with negotiations are playing out, or whether the U.S. will ultimately have to annex it: "Well, that's what hurt my relationship with NATO, because Greenland doesn't help Denmark. Denmark doesn't spend money to really help Greenland, but it's an important part for the United States, and it's surrounded by China ships and Russian ships, and that's not going to happen. The ships is not going to happen. It was Greenland that, in my and it continues to be that should be controlled by the United States, not by Denmark. And when they wouldn't go along with it, and with all the money we spend to help them with Russia, and we don't have to spend any money, we could remove all of our soldiers out of Europe, because, as you probably noticed, Europe's a very different place than it was 20 years ago, lot different, much different, much different, and they better be careful with immigration and energy. If they're not careful with those two things, you're not going to have a Europe anymore."
And that's a wrap on the bilat.

White House Press Pool Reports @WHPressPool - Travel pool note #13: Departing the presidential compound
Pool held for a bit in an auditorium in the main building at the Presidential Complex and loaded into the vans around 5:25 p.m.
Pool did not see POTUS enter the Beast, but we are rolling as of 5:55 p.m.
Also a fun, but now painfully obvious, fact: The color of the carpets I was describing as aqua are very clearly turquoise. (Because, of course, “turquoise” is derived from the French word for Turkish; and turquoise came through Turkey to Europe, likely from Iran and Egypt.)
