Telling people to stay inside for airborne viruses was a sure way to extend it for months given mass housing. Those tabletop response games were ran by NGOs (and IC, interestingly enough) who had no critical thinking skills. DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - A bit of both. I think it's obvious it's a lab leak, but suppose it weren't... IMO, like with SARS-CoV-1, if none of this preparation had happened it'd just been allowed to spread, they'd have quickly identified the high-risk people and come up with a sane containment strategy, with 95%+ of cases undetected because these cases posed no risk to the general population. But instead they had this global pandemic playbook written years in advance and couldn't deviate from it. Untrained people do the crab walk like Taylor did. The "tripod" crawl video that was posted as a rebuttal was only in a highly specific situation where you're stalking an actual live target who might turn around and fire on you. It involved a forward motion plus the weapon strongly on the body/shoulder and pointed forward, ready to fire.
