My husband and I were having this discussion. His family invested in Encyclopedia Britannica, and he said he never used it. Boring. But also it was the top-of-the-line. My parents bought World Book, and I loved it. Every year I looked forward to the annual update. Great photos. Interesting. My husband sold Britannica door-to-door in college. $600!
