DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - It’s much more complicated than that with Curtis. He declared in an op-ed that he would NOT run for Romney’s seat. After he wrote that, millions of dollars in outside money flowed into Utah to pressure him to run… that’s right, political advertisements were being bought to beg him to run after he said he would not. Then when he decided to run after all, millions more in outside money poured in through the floodgates. I’ve seen estimates only 0.5% of his campaign money came from Utah voters. Even the Trump endorsed guy didn’t stand a chance next to all that money. Parent Post: Cernovich @Cernovich - Blaming trump for John Curtis / Thune / Cornyn is accountability deflection. Red state voters keep sending these losers into office. Senator Curtis was a lifelong Democrat. Someone gets elected. https://x.com/DataRepublican/status/2084693989412794778
TheDebriefing17 @TheDebriefing17 - Somebody Inside the Bank Said Something. It Didn't Matter. On August 3, 2026, the U.S. Treasury fined UBS Financial Services $125 million. That is the largest penalty the government has ever imposed on a brokerage for violating the Bank Secrecy Act the law that requires financial firms to watch their own transactions and tell the government when something looks wrong.
