Wolf of X @WolfofX - In 2014, 28 year old James Hyndman passed away, leaving behind his partner, Teri Copland, and their two young children, Neive and Jase in West Lothian, Scotland.
Every year, the family still celebrated James' birthday by writing him cards.
When Jase was just 7 years old in 2018, he addressed his father's birthday letter in the only way that made sense to him.
"Mr Postman, can you take this to Heaven for my dad's birthday? Thanks."
He dropped it into the mail with no expectation that anyone would ever reply.
The letter reached the Royal Mail delivery office in Bathgate, where Assistant Delivery Office Manager Sean Milligan read the envelope. Instead of setting it aside, he wrote back on official Royal Mail letterhead.
He told Jase they had successfully delivered the letter after carefully avoiding "stars and other galactic objects" on the journey to Heaven. He also reassured him that Royal Mail would continue to do everything possible to deliver mail to his dad.
When Jase's mother shared the exchange online, it touched millions of people. Royal Mail later said they were simply proud that one of their employees had taken the time to comfort a grieving little boy with kindness.
For Jase, it wasn't proof that letters could reach Heaven. It was proof that someone on Earth cared enough to answer one.
