The Epoch Times @EpochTimes - McDonald’s just posted its weakest U.S. sales growth in more than a year—and immediately named a new president to run the business. Skye Anderson, previously chief operating officer of McDonald’s USA, takes over the division effective immediately. She replaces Joe Erlinger, who is leaving the company but will stay on as an adviser through early 2027. Comparable sales at U.S. restaurants rose just 0.8 percent in the second quarter, the slowest domestic growth since early 2025. Higher spending per order helped, but fewer customer visits offset the gains. CEO Chris Kempczinski called Anderson a “proven change agent” who can mobilize the system with urgency as the chain works to win back price-sensitive customers. Picture: New president Skye Anderson
