The Epoch Times @EpochTimes - More than 800 dangerous truckers were pulled off America’s roads in just three days.
Federal agents targeted unqualified foreign drivers and unsafe commercial vehicles during Operation Highway Shield.
Inspectors detained 51 illegal immigrants, including 21 holding non-domiciled licenses from California and New York.
They placed 766 drivers and vehicles out of service, arrested 86 for behaviors like road rage, issued 36 English proficiency violations, and recovered nearly $1 million in stolen cargo.

The Epoch Times @EpochTimes - McDonald’s just posted its weakest U.S. sales growth in more than a year—and immediately named a new president to run the business.
Skye Anderson, previously chief operating officer of McDonald’s USA, takes over the division effective immediately.
She replaces Joe Erlinger, who is leaving the company but will stay on as an adviser through early 2027.
Comparable sales at U.S. restaurants rose just 0.8 percent in the second quarter, the slowest domestic growth since early 2025.
Higher spending per order helped, but fewer customer visits offset the gains.
CEO Chris Kempczinski called Anderson a “proven change agent” who can mobilize the system with urgency as the chain works to win back price-sensitive customers.
