His conclusion, and the one that makes most sense, is that Fauci ginned up the exaggerated COVID scare and associated lockdown and mask panic to cover up his culpability in the gain-of-function research in Wuhan where the Frankenstein virus appears to have originated. You can understand the desire to escape blame for the death and suffering of millions of people but the ability to cheerfully play-act an altruistic scientist day after day suggests a level of callousness best left to psychiatrists to diagnose.
