Senator Rand Paul @SenRandPaul - Twenty-first-century Federal Reserve policy has abandoned any notion of money as a scarce commodity. The predictable results are chronic inflation and public uncertainty about the dollar’s future purchasing power.

Senator Rand Paul @SenRandPaul - I visited Fort Knox today.
The dollar has lost 97% of its purchasing power since the Fed opened in 1913. $100 then is worth just over $3,300 today.
This is no accident. Congress spends without limit, while the Fed prints the difference.

Senator Rand Paul @SenRandPaul - In the weeks after the announcement of the Liberation Day tariffs, the dollar index, which tracks the value of the dollar against a basket of currencies, dropped drastically. It is now down almost 10%, its worst performance since 2017, which coincidentally was the same year Fort Knox received its last high-profile official visit to the vault.
