Chef Andrew Gruel @ChefGruel - Big tech (and arguably many big US corps, especially food related) would also prefer to pay low wages in other countries and skip the regulations here and then sell their product back to Americans with a massive margin. This is why they typically support politicians who love big government, they love the US regulations as it keeps their competition from being able to undercut them on pricing.

Sean Davis @seanmdav - China bought Africa by building soccer stadiums in mining towns and then hiring the locals.
Big Tech will funnel billions to BLM but refuses to invest in anything that might help rural Americans who love America. And then they wonder why everyone hates Big Tech.
This is such an easy and obvious thing to fix, but they won’t do it because they’re arrogant and greedy and they genuinely hate actual Americans.

Chef Andrew Gruel @ChefGruel - Yes. And remember it was 2015 when congress repealed mandatory country of origin labeling for beef and pork after a WTO ruling threatened the U.S. with more than $1 billion in retaliatory tariffs. Kind of ironic that we are back in a tariff war. We folded so quickly back then and Canada laughed.
Quoted Post:
former farm boy @ruralmidiowa - Give us country of origin labeling and let the buying public
Decide if they are willing to trust foreign beef.

Chef Andrew Gruel @ChefGruel - Apparently China leads the world in horse meat consumption, followed by Kazakhstan and Mexico.
