Thank you for making the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., such an extraordinary and memorable event for our nation.
The energy and enthusiasm you brought to our nation's capital made this weekend truly special. Whether you joined us in Washington or watched from home, your passion for INDYCAR and motorsports was on full display and helped create a celebration worthy of America's 250th anniversary.
We are grateful to President Trump and his Administration for their leadership and support in making this historic event possible. We also thank Mayor Bowser and the broader team in Washington, D.C., for their partnership and for working together with our organization to bring the Freedom 250 Grand Prix to life in our nation's capital.
The Freedom 250 Grand Prix brought together the speed, competition and pageantry of INDYCAR racing with an incredible celebration of our country. Seeing the cars race through Washington, surrounded by iconic landmarks and thousands of fans, created images and memories that will stay with all of us for years to come.
I also want to thank all of our INDYCAR drivers and teams for delivering an outstanding weekend of competition and congratulate Kyle Kirkwood on his victory in the Freedom 250 Grand Prix.
Motorsports has always been about more than the cars on the track. It is about the fans, the teams, the drivers, our partners and the many people behind the scenes who make our sport possible. This weekend was a tremendous example of what can be accomplished when people come together around a shared vision.
Our partners at FOX played an important role in bringing that experience to millions of viewers across the country. Their commitment to INDYCAR has helped showcase our drivers, teams and racing to a growing audience, and we are proud to have them as a partner.
We are also grateful to the many brands and partners whose support helped make this historic event possible, including Monumental Sports & Entertainment and Harbinger. Their commitment and collaboration were instrumental in bringing this ambitious vision to life.
As we celebrate America's 250th anniversary, all of us at INDYCAR are incredibly proud to have played a part in this historic occasion.
