It also put federal real estate on it in 2003 because the government still cannot inventory its own buildings and land.
Gene Dodaro has walked lawmakers through the same unresolved failures every two years since 2010. Fully addressing the list could save taxpayers tens of billions, but nothing is done.
The list has no enforcement power so the identical warnings just keep coming while tens of billions in identified savings sit there unused.
