Craig Caplan @CraigCaplan - The House tonight unanimously passed the final version of legislation to reauthorize CDC funding for five years for lyme and other tick-borne disease research. The Kay Hagan Tick Reauthorization Act, named after the late Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) who passed away in 2019 due to complications from the Powassan tick-borne virus, was approved by the Senate also by voice vote last month and now heads to the White House.

Craig Caplan @CraigCaplan - 216-211: House voted to repeal the Biden Administration's EPA October 2023 approval of a waiver allowing California to impose more stringent onroad engine emissions standards for boats in harbors specifically ocean-going vessels under the Clean Air Act. 3 Democrats Cuellar (TX), Davis (NC) & Gonzalez (TX) voted Yes & Fitzpatrick (PA) was the only Republican to vote No. The disapproval resolution now heads to the Senate.

Two Republican Reps. Ralph Norman (SC) & Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Harris (MD) voted No against the 5-bill rule, which allowed for debate on the Russia & Iran sanctions bill named after the late Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC).
