Next to his statue is a wall carving of FDR’s famous “Four Freedoms”—two “of” and two “from”:
Freedom of Speech.
Freedom of Religion.
Freedom from Want.
Freedom from Fear.
The first two are rooted in the Constitution.
But “freedom from want” is fundamentally Communist.
“Freedom from fear,” at best, is a justification for big government: promising to protect us from every risk and hardship.
