America 250: Historian & Author George Nash on President Herbert Hoover
Historian and author George Nash reflected on the life and legacy of Herbert Hoover, America's 31st president (1929-33). His essay is part of a project called In Pursuit, commissioned to mark America's 250th birthday in 2026. Nash wrote a multi-volume biography of Hoover, "The Life of Herbert Hoover: The Engineer, 1874-1914," "The Humanitarian, 1914-17," and "Master of Emergencies, 1917-18."
