F.A. United States Attorney Bill Essayli @USAttyEssayli - Defrauding federal programs intended to help the most vulnerable is not a partisan issue, it’s an American one. Taxpayers deserve accountability and transparency in how their money is used.
Today, with the help of @FBILosAngeles @IRS_CI @HUDOIG we arrested three additional fraudsters charged in federal court with receiving more than $100 million in funds intended to serve LA’s homeless. Some of that money was used to vacation in Tahiti, pay off credit cards, and open a nightclub in Inglewood.

F.A. United States Attorney Bill Essayli @USAttyEssayli - Great work by @FBILosAngeles
Quoted Post:
FBI Los Angeles @FBILosAngeles - Acting Assistant Director in Charge, Robert Molvar, joined partners at a press conference today to announce the arrest of two defendants out of three charged in separate federal homelessness corruption and fraud cases. A third defendant is being sought by law enforcement.
"When taxpayer-funded programs are exploited for personal gain, it undermines public trust and diverts critical resources away from the people who need them most,” said Robert Molvar, the Acting Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office. “Our work does not stop with these arrests. We remain committed to identifying fraud, protecting taxpayer dollars and safeguarding programs designed to help those experiencing homelessness.”
