U.S. Southern Command @Southcom - U.S. Marines with the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center and Argentine marines assigned to the Batallon de Infanteria de Marina N 4 remain suspended below a ledge while awaiting rescue during crevasse rescue training in Ushuaia, Argentina, Sept. 15, 2026. The training improved both forces’ ability to respond to emergencies in glaciated terrain.
