DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Traveling today and updates intermittent, but Florida mail-ins shifted 2 points redder overnight relative to 2024 margins, and will overtake 2024 mail-in margins next week at this rate. I am still seeing an inverse pattern where R's are underperforming in rural counties and D's are underperforming in urban counties.
Then it's just arguing how much handicap to give to Democrats because of the post-2024 Republican registration advantage. But needless to say, this is a good place for FL GOP to be in, with the caveat that this could change quickly with in-person early voting.
Also, Democrats aren't suddenly getting more popular in Florida. It's just a slowdown in registration volume as we approach book closing.
