Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський @ZelenskyyUa - Video: I spoke with media representatives following the Ukrainian-German Business Forum. We are sincerely grateful to the German delegation led by the Chancellor. This was a truly important, good, strong visit in terms of the agreements reached – a historic overall agreement worth €8.5 billion. And we are very grateful for the support. What is important about this visit is that Germany is not only helping Ukraine – Ukraine is also sharing its knowledge and experience, placing orders, and co-producing. These are jobs for Germany and for Ukraine. And we plan to work across many areas. We thank our German partners.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський @ZelenskyyUa - “Vivaldi” is a very successful operation. It's not finished yet. As of today, about 125–140 square kilometers have been de-occupied. Importantly, the number of Russians killed and wounded over the last 2–3 months has increased. Since the beginning of the year, they had 30–32,000 casualties per month – 21–22,000 killed and others badly wounded. Now, we are talking about 42,000 casualties a month. So, during the offensive, we lost several times fewer people than Russia, and they have been on the defensive. Our military wanted to start this operation a year ago, but it was not that well prepared yet. Thank God, we decided to postpone it a bit, and now we have good results and fewer losses.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський @ZelenskyyUa - Over these past months, we have been working on our financial deficit. We will close the existing gap by the end of the year. We still have some questions that need to be worked on, but we will close the gap. I think this is a big success for our country, our team, and the EU. It was not simple. We worked with our budget, with our partners – the EU in particular, and we will also try to partially use money from the loan for next year. We will move it closer to January, and using this money we will order drones for January and February 2027. My team came from Brussels and reported back. It works well. I hope everything will go this way.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський @ZelenskyyUa - I think the U.S. really wants to stop Russia’s war. I trust them. Then, I understand it's difficult to stop somebody who’s big and doesn't want to stop. That's why you're trying to find some compromises with Russia. But I think we are losing time if we want to play with Russian compromises.
Because if Putin sees you can support something, he will try to give you another idea, some other issues and new conditions. New government – new conditions. Leaders in Europe change? New conditions. The U.S. policy? President Trump appeared – very strong – new conditions. He is trying to be very polite. Now the United States faces a challenge in the Middle East - negotiations with Iran. You will see new conditions from Russia. President Trump wants to have some kind of victory before the midterms. But Putin will do everything to push the Iranians and make this whole situation non-negotiable.
The same with Russia’s war against Ukraine. If Putin sees that President Trump needs some victory, he will decide what to give and what not to give. And this is the problem – Putin started to think that it is he who can decide. But America is one hundred times stronger than Russia. Absolutely. They just have to remember that.
