Doug TenNapel @DougTenNapel - It's not the manpower, but it is the amount of compute. The "virtual manpower" is coming and this movie is super early so they had to make an anthology, each individual segment still punching way above a tiny team's weight. The lack of compelling 30 minute short films is the MOST encouraging thing for creators because it means we're still so early that we bought a little more time before the flood. Free distribution platforms like X and Youtube will be first. In the long run theater distribution will need Ai more than Ai needs theaters. It's why we see Fathom Events renting out theaters on a slow Tuesday night... they need more content. Quoted Post: Dubes @dubes AI movies are not attracting enough money and manpower to make a feature film yet. This looks like an anthology. Where are the compelling 30-minute short films on Netflix? My concern is that if AI was 'ready' enough (to attract the required people) then TV would come first.
