FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Today, Katie Zacharia delivered a commanding inaugural press briefing as the 37th White House Press Secretary. The briefing, which generated wall-to-wall coverage, served as a strong introduction to her tenure and highlighted the Trump Administration’s record of delivering historic successes for the American people.
• Katie opened the briefing with clear purpose: “I am so honored to work for President Trump and the American people as the new White House Press Secretary. I want to thank President Trump for his trust that he has placed in me. I have wanted to work for him for a very long time.”
• Katie detailed President Trump’s second-term accomplishments on costs and much more: “President Trump is the first President in modern history to actually lower prescription drug prices, delivering the biggest drop in 63 years.”
• Katie reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to broader media access: “My predecessor, Karoline Leavitt, did an incredible job and I completely agree with the choice of a New Media Seat we are absolutely going to keep it and we are going to expand on it to the extent possible. We love new media, and we want to be able to embrace it.”
• Katie announced the continued rapid pace of President Trump’s midterms travel: “You can expect more of the midterm blitz. Just now, we’ve added Kentucky and we have a few other stops as he goes down to Florida so it’ll be Georgia, Kentucky, and Florida.”
• Katie spoke about her family and the Trump Administration’s support for working parents: “We have four kids, ranging from 12, 10, 8, and 6. Three of them are boys, so we have a handful…President Trump is the most family-friendly President we’ve ever had. He has hired more women with families, and the fact that he knew I had four kids and knew that this job would be demanding, and still placed his trust in me, shows that I know I’m capable of being able to step up to that.”

Vance concluded his remarks at 12:26 CT with a wave to the crowd and he headed back behind thr stage.
Pool is waiting for Vance under the wing of AF2. Pool walked by Vance talking to staff while members of congress and Brooke Rollins mingled with people backstage, near what looked like a photo line.
The rally was standing room only just outside the hanger, with all seats taken. (Pooler asked for a crowd estimate). There’s at least several hundred seats. Crowd waved “defend our future” signs, along with the Texas flag and American flag. Many wore Make America Great Again hats. One woman held a portrait of Vance up.
A woman was taken out a few minutes after Vance began speaking for disrupting the crowd. Vance told her to get the hell out, we are trying to save this country.
