Nick shirley @nickshirleyy - @CommunityNotes The note is factually wrong. My clarifying reply stating the footage is from September 2025 was posted at the exact same timestamp as the main post (19:21:18 GMT on Oct 18, 2026) not 33 minutes later. Both appear in the same thread with identical timestamps.
The video is used to illustrate an ongoing issue showing on the ground reporting from a similar protest in Paris while highlighting the current situation in France. The reason for the protest are still the same cost of living, student rights, their current government. The note’s claim that I posted the clarification later is incorrect and should be corrected or removed.

The footage of this protest was filmed in September, 2025 but the reason for the protest and riots are still the same cost of living, student rights and their current government. Crazy times.

“He [Abdul El Sayed] can't just say, you know, no, I don't support Hamas, you know, I reject all of them, because he's going to lose the people that brought him up in the first place.”
