did his constituents proud. At a “Shabbat Tarbut” current-events gathering in Beersheva on Saturday,
the parliamentarian from the ridiculously named “Change Bloc” compared the rival camp’s potential victory on Nov. 1
to the establishment of the Third Reich.

Warning against the possibility that Benjamin Netanyahu will return to the premiership with a coalition that includes
the Religious Zionist Party.

Ben Barak said: “I’m not comparing this to anything, but Hitler rose to power through democratic elections.”

Ben Barak and his self-defined “enlightened” buddies don’t see it that way.
To modify his inexcusable analogy, he clarified that he had meant to articulate the “fear that this could happen.”

“One of the first laws … that [Hitler] enacted was to abolish the Supreme Court,”
he explained, adding that “we need to preserve our democracy.”

He went on:
“This is why the connection between the anti-democratic, racist party of Ben-Gvir and Smotrich and the person
[Netanyahu] we see who is ready to do almost anything to get out of his trial is dangerous.”

“What I’m trying to say,” Ben Barak continued,
“is that democracy isn’t built on going to the polls and voting.
Democracy is a culture that is developed over the course of many, many years. But it’s very easy to destroy.”

With elitism oozing from every pore, he went on to criticize —heavens!
—the Supreme Court for its decision to allow Ben-Gvir to run again for the Knesset.
Still, he placed the blame for what he considers to be this nightmare scenario on his favorite culprit.

“The worst thing that Netanyahu did was to make Ben-Gvir kosher. It was he who brought him to the Israeli public.”

This is false. Ben-Gvir was elected to the Knesset in 2021.
What Netanyahu did was tell floating voters that it was ok to opt for the Religious Zionists over his party, Likud, to bolster the right.

“I am a democrat,” he announced. “[But] do I think that it wouldn’t be the beginning of the end? I’m convinced that it would be.”

No surprise there,
coming from a 'prominent politician who recently described the right-left divide as
a fight between the forces of darkness and light.

“They’re black and we’re white,” was how he put it. Talk about showing one’s true colors.

Indeed, this high-level official
—who will retain his Knesset seat, regardless of the outcome of the election
—last month ripped into the Religious Zionist Party by smearing its attitude towards
and presenting its pernicious plans for Israel’s women.

“Soon, female TV anchors will be forced to cover their hair and won’t be able to serve in the army,”
he asserted. “That’s where we’re headed.”

Let this sink in:
According to the chairman of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee,
if the public on Tuesday grants a majority to Netanyahu
—the longest-serving prime minister in Israel’s history
—the country will morph into a combination of Nazi Germany and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

If any group deserves to be labeled as “extremist” and penalized at the ballot box,
it’s the crew chanting Ben Barak’s mendacious mantra.

The cases center around challenges to policies at Harvard University and the University of North Carolina that consider race as one of many factors in evaluating college applications.

The high court has repeatedly upheld race-conscious admissions programs over the years — but a new 6-3 conservative majority is widely anticipated to strike down at least part of the practice.

Lower courts previously tossed plaintiffs’ contention that both Harvard and UNC discriminate against Asian American and white applicants.

The organization Students for Fair Admissions sued Harvard in 2014, alleging the Ivy League school violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 barring discrimination based on race, color or national origin under any program or activity that gets federal funds.

Nancy Pelosi’s son said doctors are slowly putting his dad, Paul, back together after he was attacked with a hammer during a harrowing home invasion.

“They are rebuilding him slowly,” Paul Pelosi Jr. said outside the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center on Sunday evening.

The younger Paul was visiting his dad and left the hospital just before 7:30 p.m. local time.

Paul Sr. had suffered a fractured skill when a crazed man, David DePape, who harbored conspiratorial beliefs, broke into the couple’s San Francisco mansion early Friday.
DePape was allegedly carrying zip ties with him and shouted “Where is Nancy?,” according to reports Sunday. He attempted to tie the Democratic congresswoman’s husband up and said they would wait for his wife — who was in Washington, DC, at the time — to come home.

The elder Pelosi was able to secretly call the police from the bathroom, and when officers arrived, there was a struggle over the hammer, resulting in DePape hitting Paul Sr. in the head. The intruder was arrested at the scene.

DePape is expected to be hit with attempted murder, assault and elder abuse as well as other charges on Monday, and will likely be arraigned Tuesday.

A conservative advocacy group is demanding that Biden’s state department release documents concerning its funding of the Palestinian Authority.
They suspect that the State Department is pursuing a policy to enable the PA to establish a stronger presence in Jerusalem.
The Washington Free Beacon reported on Friday that America First Legal (AFI), a group of conservative lawyers and activists,
filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from the State Department for documents about US funding for the Palestinian Authority.
Funding to the PA was suspended under President Donald Trump due to the Taylor Force Act which prohibits funding the PA if they pay stipends to terrorists. The Biden administration reinstated the funding.

The Free Beacon reported earlier this month on a non-public State Department report to Congress that determined the Palestinian government is still paying terrorists.
AFI believes that much of the funding is going towards projects intended to undermine Israel’s sovereignty in Jerusalem.

“Make no mistake
—the purpose here, contrary to U.S. law, is creating facts on the ground to undermine Israel’s borders
and sovereignty and to reverse the United States’ recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city,”
Reed D. Rubinstein, America First Legal’s senior counselor and director of oversight, said in a statement.
“The Biden administration is pumping hundreds of millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars into ‘projects’ that directly
benefit both the corrupt Palestinian Authority and the terrorist Hamas dictatorship.”

The Biden State Department has been moving forward with plans to reopen the US Consulate for Palestinians
in the eastern part of Jerusalem. This would include elevating Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Israeli
and Palestinian Affairs Hady Amr to the role of special envoy to the Palestinians.

The organization’s FOIA centers on a State Department fact sheet from March that outlined projects
run by the United States’ Palestinian Affairs Unit.

The Palestinian Affairs Department used to operate independently from the embassy and served effectively
as a diplomatic mission to the Palestinian Authority from inside Jerusalem until President Trump closed that
department in 2019 and moved it to the new embassy, placing it under the auspices of the US Ambassador to Israel.

Biden has made the Palestinian Affairs Unit independent once again.
If it is moved to its former location in Jerusalem (as Price said it would),
it will operate once again as a de facto embassy to the PA from inside Jerusalem.

The Israeli government strongly opposes this plan.

With Israel’s Knesset elections set for Nov. 1, the story everyone is talking about is the unparalleled grassroots enthusiasm for Itamar Ben-Gvir, Bezalel Smotrich and their Religious Zionist Party. Many committed religious Zionists, however, are not planning to vote for the party, because of the controversy surrounding its leadership. Therefore, I want to share the top three reasons to do so.
1) The Proud Platform
2) The Political Calculation
3) Fighting Against Fake News

The Nation of Israel, the Land of Israel, the Torah of Israel { "FOR GOD & COUNTRY." }
In the spirit of Rabbi Abraham Kook, the founder of religious Zionism, the Religious Zionist Party believes that the State of Israel has great spiritual significance, but we are a work in progress.

As a lifelong modern-Orthodox and religious-Zionist Jew, I feel that we have become complacent and even a bit stale due to political correctness. As a result, I have been impressed by how Ben-Gvir and Smotrich have energized religious Zionism with their outspoken and courageous love for the Jewish people. They are loud while we have become quiet. They are fiery while we have become polite.
I understand that this makes some of my fellow modern Orthodox uncomfortable. But we owe it to ourselves and our children to remain open-minded and become passionate again on behalf of the Religious Zionist Party’s proud platform: the Nation of Israel, the Land of Israel and the Torah of Israel.

A vote for Religious Zionism is a vote for Bibi (but not vice-versa)
Israeli politics are complicated, but I will try to explain the tactical advantage of voting for the Religious Zionist Party.
While anything can happen on election day, it seems that Netanyahu will once again become prime minister. In the past, however, he has invited left-wing parties to join his coalition. Especially with President Isaac Herzog’s recent trip to the United States, I am concerned that Netanyahu will cave to American intervention and turn leftwards, forming a coalition with Defense Minister Benny Gantz.

Thus, if you want a strong right-wing government, remember that a vote for Bibi is not necessarily a vote for the right-wing, but a vote for the Religious Zionists is also a vote for Bibi. Your vote would count twice.

I’m a newspaper nerd. That means I read Haaretz, The New York Times and The Jerusalem Post every morning.
To save you a stomachache and thousands of dollars in subscription fees, I will summarize what I have learned from the two Israeli dailies:
Don’t believe everything you read in The Jerusalem Post, and believe the opposite of whatever you read in Haaretz. Just because the mainstream media calls someone an extremist, fascist or racist doesn’t mean it’s true.
It’s an old trick the left likes to play in order to shut down legitimate debate.

At Arutz Sheva, Rabbi Professor Dov Fischer offered historical context on how the left has always vilified charismatic leaders on the right. He noted, “Ben Gurion called Ze’ev Jabotinsky ‘Vladimir Hitler’ and deemed Menachem Begin a terrorist for commanding the Irgun.”
In a six-minute video at Pulse of Israel, Avi Abelow calls out those who condemn Ben-Gvir’s “racism” while giving a free pass to leftists and Arabs who discriminate against Jews by denying them the right to pray on the Temple Mount.

I believe there is a silent majority of olim in Israel who are tired of the same old politicians and see a way out of our endless election cycle. We represent tens of thousands of voters who are largely untapped politically and can tip the scales in what is sure to be another close race.
