Aaron Carter's mystery house sitter REFUSED medically trained neighbors who have a defibrillator into his home after she found him unresponsive in bath - as footage emerges of the ex-child star fighting with neighbors last month
Neighbors Anthony and Amanda Chavel tried to help Aaron Carter after they heard 911 call on a police scanner
They rushed over to his house with a defibrillator to see if there was any chance of resuscitating the former child star
But a woman who police describe as a house sitter would not let them inside, even as they pleaded with her
She also tried to prevent police getting inside the house when they arrived a few minutes later, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal
Carter, 34, died Saturday. The house sitter found him unresponsive in the bath at his $800,000 home in Lancaster, California. Police say he drowned
Carter was a child star who hit it big in the early 2000s but whose adult life had been scarred by drug addiction
"‘I heard them call out a 927D – code for a possible dead body – for Aaron Carter’s address.’ Anthony, 45, a corporate safety manager who teaches CPR and also works for a local news agency, told DailyMail.com outside the singer's house in Lancaster, California.
‘I knocked on the door several times,' he said. 'Finally after a few minutes a black female answered the door.’
Cheval said she the woman was hysterical and was foaming at both sides of her mouth. He asked her if she needed any help.
‘But the house sitter was screaming: "He’s gone, he’s dead, he’s gone."
'She kept screaming that over and over.’
Cheval said he asked her again to let them in. ‘Let us help you, let us try. My wife is a registered nurse, let her help.’
But the house sitter, who he described as 'hysterical' refused to allow them to enter, screaming out to them, ‘I can’t let you in.’
‘She locked the front door, and I could hear her running away from the door.’
A few minutes later LA County Sheriff Deputies arrived on the scene, Amanda Cheval, 30, who was waiting out by the sidewalk in front of the Carter house, explained to the cops about the woman who answered the door.
They started banging on the door yelling they were from the sheriff’s department, finally the same woman answered the door but didn’t open it up all of the way, she had her body pushed up against the door still not allowing anyone inside.
'But the sheriff’s deputies pushed past her and ran inside the house.'
'Minutes later they exited the house, but not with the same urgent demeanor they had going in.
'At that point I thought whoever it was inside there is dead. "
