Helldivers 2 while not a bad looking game is a great example of how badly game optimization has regressed in the last decade. Go look it up on youtube, it's nothing special visually but needs at least a $400+ GPU to hit 60 FPS on high settings. BF4 on the same hardware runs at 230+ FPS on ultra. Make it make sense. It's not just Helldivers though, it's most games being released now. Hogwarts Legacy, Alan Wake 2, that new Avatar game, all low effort unoptimized trash. You can even turn on RTX and they'll STILL look worse than some old games. They're artificially sustaining the GPU industry by not optimizing their games
